Growth with 2 Cars on track for round 2

Round two was an achievement for our team with two cars entered, marking delivery of our long held plans for a two car team.  Evan continued to pilot the AU XR8 with car 26 and Dilan Saitz making his debut in the BA XR8 with car 261, sponsored by FGI Developments.

Qualifying

Qualifying delivered some good results with Dilan setting a very respectable time of 1:23.7 and Evan settling the AU into second off the start line with a 1:22.3

Race 1

Race one had it's highs and lows.  Dilan started off well but three laps into the race the BA started developing some overheating issues with car 261 recording a DNF.  Evan steered car 26 home for second in class behind Ross Salmon in his HSV Clubsport, with the reliability of the AU proving the difference with a high number of retirements.

Race 2

Race two similarly for car 261 had challenges, this time with a complete cooling system failure delivering another DNF despite the work undertaken between races.  Evan brought car 26 home in second place again recording a personal best time for the AU of 1:21.9.

Race 3

Race three was not our finest outing, with car 261 suffering electrical issues and the ECU delivering inconsistent power output and car 26 suffering a mechanical failure off the starting line with the T5 gearbox failing to hold the torque of the Ierace built windsor.

Both cars were retired and the round ended for us in race 3.  After race four, car 26 had accumulated enough points to claim third in class for the round.
